Listen without fixing
People in pain do not always need an answer. Often, they need room to say what is true and know they will not be judged for it.
MENTAL HEALTH SPEAKER · CRISIS COUNSELOR · HOST
You don’t need to be a mental health professional to support someone you love. You simply need the willingness to listen, connect, and talk about what’s real.

A DIFFERENT WAY TO SHOW UP
What six years of crisis counseling taught me is that support is not about saying the perfect thing. It is about staying present. It is about listening with care, making room for honesty, and helping someone feel less alone.
Connection begins when we stop trying to fix each other.WHAT WE CAN ALL LEARN
People in pain do not always need an answer. Often, they need room to say what is true and know they will not be judged for it.
Caring for your own mental health comes first. From that steadier place, you can decide when and how you are ready to support someone else.
Shame thrives in silence. Honest conversation reminds us that struggling does not make us broken, and none of us has to struggle alone.
MEET APRIL
I bring together years of live television experience, thousands of crisis conversations, and my own lived experience to make difficult mental health topics feel approachable, practical, and deeply human. I bring every part of my story to the stage:
I bring that purpose into every room, helping people feel more comfortable having the conversations they once avoided. I earned my B.A. in journalism, communications, and creative arts from NYU and am certified in ASIST, Psychological First Aid, and Vibrant Emotional Health Crisis Counseling.
